Steve Broughall has enjoyed a 30+ year career in both the public and private sectors. He has served as an Army officer and government senior civilian executive in assignments centered on the acquisition and management of critical information technology and business systems.
Career highlights include project manager of three major defense acquisition programs (Global Combat Support System, Combat Service Support Control System, and Army Knowledge Online), director of the US Army Strategic & Advanced Computer Center (Artificial Intelligence Center), director of the US Army International Technology Center, director of the Army’s Business Mission Area organization, and Chief Information Officer of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. After leaving government he served as the Executive Vice President of Government Operations for McLane Advanced Technologies, part of the McLane Group. He has also been active as a consultant for several international Fortune 100 businesses and government organizations.
His postgraduate education includes an MS from the Florida Institute of Technology, an MA from the Naval War College, an MS from National Defense University (Industrial College of the Armed Forces), and the Senior Executive Service course at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.
He began his public service as an Infantry officer commissioned through the Northeastern University ROTC program.
He currently resides with his family in Washington, DC and Orr’s Island, Maine.
