On Friday, February 20, you are warmly invited to a special roundtable conversation with Ambassador Ronen Hoffman, Ph.D., President of the EIS Council, scholar, and former Israeli diplomat.

Ambassador Hoffman will offer an in-depth perspective on the evolving Middle East and the shared Israeli-American path forward at a time of profound regional transformation:

“Leading Through Resilience: A Shared Israeli-American Path in a Shifting Middle East”

About the roundtable:

Israel and the United States are navigating one of the most consequential periods in the modern Middle East – marked by internal political realignments, leadership debates, and rapidly evolving regional dynamics. From the war in Gaza to shifting regional alliances and renewed great-power engagement, the challenges facing the region are increasingly interconnected. This talk will explore the deeper forces shaping the current moment, examine how domestic pressures in both Israel and the United States interact with regional security realities, and consider how resilience – political, societal, and strategic – can serve as a foundation for a shared Israeli-American path forward. The discussion will outline possible scenarios for the alliance’s role in shaping stability, security, and opportunity in the Middle East in the months and years ahead.

When Truth Becomes a Risk: How Misinformation Threatens Crisis Response and Infrastructure Resilience

In every crisis, whether a cyberattack, natural disaster, or infrastructure failure, information moves faster than operations. Decisions are made in minutes, public behavior shifts in seconds, and trust becomes the invisible system holding everything together. But today, truth itself is under pressure. Misinformation spreads faster than verified facts. AI-generated deepfakes blur the line between real […]

Looking for a New Year’s Resolution? Try Resilience

Happy New Year. Welcome to 2026. Resilience rarely makes the list of New Year’s resolutions, yet it may be the most important one you can make. Today, much of the U.S. population lives in disaster-prone regions. Hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, floods, and extended power outages are no longer rare scenarios. Despite this, most people are still […]

Resilient Cities: The Future of Urban Preparedness

Cities today sit at the crossroads of unprecedented pressure. Urban systems that once operated independently now behave like tightly interwoven networks. A single point of failure in one urban sector can ripple into others within minutes, creating disruptions that are difficult to contain and even harder to recover from. Climate extremes, aging infrastructure, cyber disruptions, […]
